Sensex rebounds, up 14pts

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 14 points at 11,987.

HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel have advanced 1.4% each to Rs 876 and Rs 445, respectively.

Satyam, Grasim, ACC and Hero Honda have spurted over 1% each to Rs 820, Rs 2,418, Rs 954 and Rs 773, respectively.

Hindalco has slipped 1.3% to Rs 169. Infosys is down 1% at Rs 1,810.

Bajaj Auto and Reliance Communications are the other significant losers.

Out of 2,440 stocks traded so far, 1,378 have declined, 986 have advanced and 76 are unchanged.
