Sensex rebounds, up 24pts

The Sensex opened nine points lower at 12,875. The index touched a low of 12,864, and then rebounded into the positive zome. The index is now up 24 points at 12,907.

Hero Honda has spurted 1.4% to Rs 768. Reliance Communications and Hindalco have gained 1% each at Rs 377 and Rs 185, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Tata Steel are the other prominent gainers.

HDFC has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,498.
