Sensex rebounds, up 27pts; HDFC slips

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 27 points at 15,834.

The NSE Nifty is up 17 points at 4,795.

Infosys and TCS have surged around 4.5% each to Rs 1,485 and Rs 949, respectively. Satyam and Wipro have rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 445 and Rs 418, respectively.

Ranbaxy has soared nearly 3% to Rs 456. DLF has gained nearly 2% at Rs 609, and Hindustan Unilever has added over 1.5% to Rs 239.

Jaiprakash Associates is up over 1% at Rs 216.

HDFC and HDFC Bank have slipped around 2.5% each to Rs 2,320 and Rs 1,295, respectively.

Hindalco has shed 1.3% at Rs 174. ACC, Ambuja Cements and Grasim are down over 1% each at Rs 803, Rs 116 and Rs 2,525, respectively.
