Sensex rebounds, up 30pts; Infosys soars 4%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 30 points at 19,826.

Infosys has zoomed 4% to Rs 1,700. Bharti Airtel and DLF have soared nearly 3% each to Rs 967 and Rs 998, respectively.

ICICI Bank has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,229, and HDFC Bank has advanced 2% to Rs 1,720. HDFC has added nearly 2% to Rs 2,866.

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.7% to Rs 404. Reliance Communications and SBI are up around 1% each at Rs 727 and Rs 2,419, respectively.

ITC and Hindalco have tumbled nearly 3% each to Rs 187 and Rs 188, respectively.

Reliance has dropped 1.8% to Rs 2,823. Tata Steel and Reliance Energy have shed 1.5% each at Rs 834 and Rs 1,918, respectively.

NTPC, BHEL and Bajaj Auto are down 1.3% each at Rs 242, Rs 2,750 and Rs 2,694, respectively.

ACC, Ambuja Cements and ONGC are down over 1% each at Rs 1,069, Rs 152 and Rs 1,180, respectively.

Out of 2,886 stocks traded so far, 1,535 have declined, 1,312 have advanced and 39 are unchanged.
