Sensex rebounds, up 40pts

The Sensex opened 22 points lower at 12,862, but soon rebounded into the positive zone.

The index touched a high of 12,970, and is now up 40 points at 12,924.

Hero Honda has advanced 1.7% to Rs 667, and Larsen & Toubro has added 1.4% to Rs 1,588.

Wipro, HDFC, Ranbaxy and TCS are up around 1% each at Rs 565, Rs 1,535, Rs 341 and Rs 1,212, respectively.
