Sensex rebounds, up 40pts; Rel Energy soars 4%

The Sensex rebounded from a low of 18,955, and is now up 40  points at 19,099.

Reliane Energy has soared 3.5% to Rs 1,913. ONGC has surged 2% to Rs 1,214.

ACC has rallied 1.5% to Rs 1,305. TCS, Satyam, HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 1,088, Rs 449, Rs 1,510 and Rs 762, respectively.

Tata Steel and SBI are up 1% each at Rs 920 and Rs 1,975, respectively.

Infosys has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 1,893. Bharti Airtel has shed 1.5% to Rs 1,110.

Bajaj Auto, Hindalco and Maruti are the other major losers.
