Sensex rebounds, up 46pts; ONGC soars 7%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 46 points at 19,884.

ONGC has zoomed 6.6% to Rs 1,331, and Larsen & Toubro has soared 4% to Rs 4,415.

BHEL, Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have surged over 2% each to Rs 2,670, Rs 788 and Rs 1,687, respectively.

ICICI Bank has rallied 1.7% to Rs 1,278. Ranbaxy and SBI are up over 1% each at Rs 432 and Rs 2,092, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has slumped 6.8% to Rs 194. Bharti Airtel has plunged 5.7% to Rs 949.

ITC and Maruti have dropped over 3% each to Rs 173 and Rs 1,041, respectively.

Grasim has shed 2.4% to Rs 3,615. Reliance and ACC have slipped 2% each to Rs 2,724 and Rs 1,056, respectively.

Tata Steel and Tata Motors have declined 1.7% each to Rs 889 and Rs 745, respectively. NTPC is down 1.5% at Rs 236.

Out of 2,709 stocks traded so far, 1,683 have declined, 956 have advanced and 70 are unchanged.
