The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 46 points at 15,258.
The NSE Nifty is up 15 points at 4,567.
Sterlite has surged nearly 3% to Rs 614.
Tata Steel, SBI and Satyam have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 618, Rs 1,584 and Rs 409, respectively.
Infosys has advanced 1.5% to Rs 1,628. Reliance and Reliance Infrastructure are up 1% each at Rs 2,369 and Rs 1,105, respectively.
ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have slipped around 2% each to Rs 725 and Rs 1,237, respectively.
