Sensex rebounds, up 55pts; ITC gains 4%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 55 points at 18,208.

The NSE Nifty is up 35 points at 5,309.

ITC has soared 3.7% to Rs 204.

Wipro, Infosys and Grasim have surged around 3% each to Rs 420, Rs 1,492 and Rs 3,035, respectively.

Cipla has rallied over 2% to Rs 189. Hindustan Unilever and Tata Steel have gained 1.5% each at Rs 202 and Rs 709, respectively.

HDFC and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 2,820 and Rs 355, respectively.

Reliance Energy, TCS, Ambuja Cements and Reliance are up over 1% each at Rs 2,123, Rs 864, Rs 116 and Rs 2,592, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Maruti and HDFC Bank have plunged over 4% each to Rs 2,355, Rs 827 and Rs 1,520, respectively.

ICICI Bank has dropped 3.7% to Rs 1,226. Bharti Airtel and SBI have shed 1.7% each at Rs 854 and Rs 2,268, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro is down 1% at Rs 3,805.
