Sensex rebounds, up 56pts; HDFC zooms 5%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 56 points at 10,455.

HDFC has zoomed over 5% to Rs 1,185. ICICI Bank has rallied 2.7% to Rs 551, and HDFC Bank has added 1.5% to Rs 751.

BHEL has surged 2.6% to Rs 1,951. Grasim has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 1,804.

ITC has rallied 1.6% to Rs 168. Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto and SBI have all spurted over 1% each.

HLL has shed 2.5% to Rs 228. Tata Power has dropped 1.7% to Rs 489, and Larsen & Toubro has slipped 1.5% to Rs 2,283.

Bharti Tele and Ranbaxy are down over 1% each at Rs 362 and Rs 406, respectively.

Out of 2,160 stocks traded so far, 1,112 have declined, 991 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
