Sensex rebounds, up 59pts

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 59 points at 12,997.

Updated at 1335 hrs

The Sensex is now down 18 points at 12,920.

Satyam has surged 4.7% to Rs 432. Wipro, HDFC Bank and TCS have rallied around 4% each to Rs 584, Rs 969 and Rs 1,237, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Infosys have advanced around 2% each to Rs 416 and Rs 2,117, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has crashed 7.7% to Rs 107. Graism and ACC have plunged around 6% each to Rs 2,080 and Rs 847, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has dropped 3.3% to Rs 655, and Hindalco has tumled nearly 3% to Rs 136.

Bajaj Auto, Hero Honda and Cipla have slipped around 2.5% each to Rs 2,546, Rs 658 and Rs 228, respectively.

Out of 2,498 stocks traded so far, 1,697 have declined, 728 have advanced and 73 are unchanged.
