Sensex rebounds, up 6pts; REL gains 2%

The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 63 points at 15,383, and slipped to a low of 15,350. The index, however, soon rebounded into the positive zone and touched a high of 15,484.

The index is now up six points at 15,452.

Reliance Energy has surged 1.7% to Rs 837.

Ranbaxy, Bajaj Auto, Satyam and Ambuja Cements are the notable movers.

Hindalco and Grasim are the notable losers.

Most of the index stocks are trading on a flat note.
