Sensex rebounds, up 77pts; ICICI Bank gains 3%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 77 points at 15,194.

The NSE Nifty is up 15 points at 4,539.

Sterlite has soared 4.5% to Rs 641, and ONGC has surged
3.7% to Rs 1,061.

ICICI Bank has rallied 2.8% to Rs 728. Maruti, Hindalco and Tata Steel have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 681, Rs 144 and Rs 654, respectively.

HDFC Bank, Tata Power and Larsen & Toubro are up over 1% each at Rs 1,271, Rs 1,064 and Rs 2,794, respectively.

Wipro and Jaiprakash Associates have shed 2% each at Rs 440 and Rs 184, respectively.

 

Grasim, Infosys, ACC and Satyam have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 2,055, Rs 1,695, Rs 630 and Rs 411, respectively.

Out of 2,737 stocks traded so far, 1,384 have declined, 1,271 have advanced and 82 are unchanged.
