Sensex rebounds, up 82pts; Infosys up 3%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 82 points at 16,422.

The NSE Nifty is up 35 points at 4,900.

Infosys and Satyam have surged over 3% each to Rs 1,466 and Rs 419, respectively. TCS has rallied over 2% to Rs 872.

Hindalco has gained 2.3% at Rs 205. NTPC, Tata Steel and ONGC have moved up around 2% each to Rs 194, Rs 794 and Rs 977, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever and Wipro advanced 1.7% each to Rs 233 and Rs 424, respectively. Cipla and Larsen & Toubro have added 1.3% each to Rs 205 and Rs 3,265, respectively.

ICICI Bank has plunged 3.5% to Rs 937. HDFC Bank has slipped 1.3% to Rs 1,340.

Bharti Airtel has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 755.
