The Sensex has recovered from the day's low of 11,203, and is now up two points at 11,287. Earlier in the day the index opened at 11,358, up 73 points and soon touched a high of 11,367.
DLF has surged 5% to Rs 270. Hindalco has rallied 3.5% to Rs 64. Reliance Communications and Maruti Suzuki have gone up 3% each to Rs 237 and Rs 870, respectively.
Grasim, Bharati Airtel, Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Infrastructure have gained 1-2% each.
On the other hand, Ranbaxy has slumped 2.5% to Rs 195. Infosys and Mahindra & Mahindra are down 2% each.
