Sensex recovers, down 18pts; M&M gains 2%

The Sensex has recovered most of its losses and is now down 18 points at 17,808.

The NSE Nifty is flat at 5,268.

Ambuja Cements has slipped 2.4% to Rs 120. ACC and SBI have dropped around 1.5% each at Rs 804 and Rs 2,048, respectively.

DLF and ICICI Bank are down around 1% each at Rs 815 and Rs 1,103, respectively.

Hindalco has surged 3.3% to Rs 203. Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 2.3% to Rs 674, and Cipla has added 2% to Rs 206.

Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank are up 1% each at Rs 591 and Rs 1,465, respectively.

Out of 2,616 stocks traded so far, 1,454 have declined, 1,085 have advanced and 77 are unchanged.
