Sensex recovers, down 22pts

The Sensex has recovered most of its losses and is now down 22 points at 14,061.

Satyam has plunged 4% to Rs 478. Hindalco has shed 2.4% to Rs 157.

Dr.Reddy's, Reliance Communications, Tata Motors and Maruti have tumbled around 2% each to Rs 612, Rs 494, Rs 639 and Rs 720, respectively.

Cipla and NTPC have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 208 and Rs 153, respectively.

HDFC Bank and SBI have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,085 and Rs 1,324, respectively.

ACC has soared over 3% to Rs 789. Tata Steel has surged 2.3% to Rs 593.

ICICI Bank and Reliance have advanced over 1% each to Rs 912 and Rs 1,688, respectively.

Out of 2,545 stocks traded so far, 1,800 have declined, 665 have advanced and 80 are unchanged.
