Sensex recovers, down 28pts; ITC leads

The Sensex has recovered almost all its losses and is now down 28 points at 13,605. The index had tumbled to a low of 13,384.

Gujarat Ambuja has surged 3.4% to Rs 127. Tata Steel, ITC and Grasim have moved up 2.5% each to Rs 470, Rs 170 and Rs 2,325, respectively.

Satyam has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 457. ACC has added 1.5% to Rs 930. Tata Motors is up over 1% to Rs 824.

Bharti Airtel has slipped over 2% to Rs 740. Wipro has shed 1.6% to Rs 613.

Reliance Communications, Infosys and Ranbaxy are down 1% each to Rs 427, Rs 2,215 and Rs 353, respectively.

Out of 2,568 stocks traded so far, 1,475 have declined, 1,034 have advanced and 59 are unchanged.
