Sensex recovers partially, down 112pts

The Sensex has recovered some of its early losses and is now down 112 points at 9886. The index had touched a low of 9745.

RCoVL has surged 4.7% to Rs 240. Reliance Energy has rallied 3.5% to Rs 459.

Dr.Reddy's and Ranbaxy have moved up over 2.5% each to Rs 1,309 and Rs 380, respectively.

SBI has advanced 1% to Rs 760.

HDFC Bank, Satyam, HLL and HDFC have dropped over 3% each to Rs 712, Rs 649, Rs 215 and Rs 1,020, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and ICICI Bank have declined nearly 3% each to Rs 2,645 and Rs 486, respectively.

Wipro and Hero Honda have shed 2.5% each to Rs 423 and Rs 725, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,048 stocks traded so far, 1,300 have advanced, 700 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
