Sensex recovers partially, down 214pts

The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 14,182, and is now down 214 points at 14,325.

Hindalco has plunged over 12% to Rs 152. Tata Motors has shed 3.5% to Rs 875.

Reliance Energy, Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro and Ranbaxy have slipped around 3% each to Rs 538, Rs 462, Rs 963, Rs 1,666 and Rs 404, respectively.

BHEL has dropped 2.7% to Rs 2,437. ACC and Grasim are down around 2% each to Rs 1,014 and Rs 2,774, respectively.

Out of 2,559 stocks traded so far, 2,239 have declined, 299 have advanced and 21 are unchanged.
