Sensex recovers partially, down 291pts

The Sensex has recovered partially from its day's low of 9201, and is now down 291 points at 9466.

Reliance Energy has dropped 7.6% to Rs 373, and HLL is down 7% at Rs 205. Grasim has slumped 6.6% to Rs 1,530.

Tata Power and Bajaj Auto have dropped nearly 6% each to Rs 434 and Rs 2,391, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Reliance are down 5% each at Rs 684 and Rs 847, respectively.

Out of a total of 2,286 stocks traded so far, 2,138 have declined, 121 have advanced and 27 are unchanged.
