Sensex recovers partially, down 36pts

The Sensex has recovered some of its losses and is now down 36 points at 10,006.

HDFC and ITC has moved up 1.7% each to Rs 1,064 and Rs 169, respectively. Reliance has added 1% to Rs 992.

RCoVL has slumped over 5% to Rs 229. Reliance Energy has shed 4.5% to Rs 426. Cipla has slipped 3.7% to Rs 210.

HDFC Bank, ONGC, Maruti, Satyam, Bajaj Auto, BHEL and NTPC are down 2-3% each.

Out of 2,129 stocks traded so far, 1,749 have declined, 336 have advanced and 44 are unchanged.
