The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 12,558, and is now down 411 points at 12,852.
Jaiprakash Associates has slumped 10.7% to Rs 122. DLF and Ranbxy have plunged 6.7% each to Rs 382 and Rs 354, respectively.
Bharti Airtel has tumbled nearly 6% to Rs 725. Reliance Communications and Tata Power have dropped around 5.5% each to Rs 338 and Rs 917, respectively.
Tata Steel has shed 5% at Rs 452. Satyam and Hindalco have slipped 4.7% each to Rs 333 and Rs 107, respectively.
BHEL and Infosys have declined 4.3% each to Rs 1,551 and Rs 1,508, respectively.
Mahindra & Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro are down 4% each at Rs 516 and Rs 2,405, respectively.
