Sensex recovers partially, down 50pts

The Sensex has recovered from the lower levels and is now down 50 points at 11,922.

Hindalco has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 168. Reliance Communications, Tata Steel, Infosys and Bajaj Auto are down over 1.5% each to Rs 319, Rs 500, Rs 1,803 and Rs 2,785, respectively.

TCS, Wipro, Dr.Reddy's, ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,000, Rs 508, Rs 740, Rs 644 and Rs 461, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has gained 1.5% at Rs 445, and HDFC Bank is up 1% at Rs 873.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,240 stocks traded so far, 1,422 have declined, 753 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
