Sensex recovers partially, down 85pts

The Sensex touched a low of 9803 - down 249 points from the day's high of 10,052.

The index has now recovered some of its losses and is now down 85 points at 9872.

Ranbaxy has plunged 4.7% to Rs 370. ONGC and NTPC are down 3.5% each at Rs 1,004 and Rs 102, respectively.

SBI has slipped over 3% to Rs 814. Reliance Energy has shed 2.8% to Rs 413.

Hindalco, ICICI Bank and Dr.Reddy's are down over 2% each.

Out of 2,234 stocks traded so far, 2,010 have declined, 203 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
