Sensex recovers partially, down 94pts

The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 17,445, and is now down 94 points at 17,672.

The NSE Nifty is down 11 points at 5,191.

DLF and Satyam have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 845 and Rs 428, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Infosys have plunged 2% each to Rs 1,507 and Rs 1,517, respectively.

Maruti has slipped 1.8% to Rs 816. Larsen & Toubro, HDFC and Bharti Airtel declined over 1% each to Rs 3,465, Rs 2,830 and Rs 868, respectively.

Grasim, Tata Motors and ICICI Bank are down around 1% each at Rs 2,815, Rs 727 and Rs 1,152, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and ONGC have rallied 2.4% each to Rs 2,125 and Rs 1,050, respectively.

Hindalco and Tata Steel have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 167 and Rs 792, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has advanced 1.5% to Rs 206. NTPC and Reliance Communications are up over 1% each at Rs 203 and Rs 617, respectively.
