Sensex recovers partially; Grasim gains 2%

The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 14,766, and is now down 154 points at 14,894.

Sterlite has slumped 3.8% to Rs 613, and DLF has plunged 3.5% to Rs 511.

HDFC and HDFC Bank have tumbled over 3% each to Rs 2,370 and Rs 1,300, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Reliance Infrastructure have slipped nearly 3% each to Rs 476 and Rs 1,012, respectively.

ONGC has dropped 2.3% to Rs 1,076. Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates and NTPC have declined around 2% each to Rs 397, Rs 170 and Rs 174, respectively.

Grasim, however, has gained nearly 2% at Rs 2,040.
