Sensex recovers partially; Hero Honda surges 3%

The Sensex has recovered partially and is now down 129 points at 13,300. The index had touched a low of 13,200.

Hero Honda has rallied 3.3% to Rs 717. HDFC has moved up 2% to Rs 1,640.

Infosys has surged 2.6% to Rs 2,243. TCS has advanced 2% to Rs 1,115, Satyam has added 1% to Rs 439.

ICICI Bank, ACC, HDFC Bank and Larsen & Toubro have dropped around 3.5% each to Rs 843, Rs 1,059, Rs 1,088 and Rs 1,310, respectively.

ITC and NTPC have shed 3% each to Rs 177 and Rs 135, respectively. Tata Steel, Ranbaxy and Dr.Reddy's are down around 2.5% each to Rs 464, Rs 380 and Rs 718, respectively.

Out of 2,836 stocks traded, 1,711 have declined, 574 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
