Sensex recovers partially; HUL, RCom move up

The NSE Nifty is down 67 points at 4,367.

ICICI Bank has slumped 9.5% to Rs 659. HDFC Bank has tumbled over 7% to Rs 1,127, and HDFC has slipped over 6% to Rs 2,210.

Reliance has shed 6.5% at Rs 2,156. Reliance  Infrastructure has dropped 3% to Rs 997.

ONGC and Jaiprakash Associates have declined around 2.5% each to Rs 1,000 and Rs 167, respectively.

Tata Motors has shed 2% at Rs 431. Tata Steel and Cipla are down 1.5% each at Rs 621 and Rs 229, respectively.

Ranbaxy has surged nearly 3% to Rs 480. Hindalco has moved up 2.4% to Rs 155, and ACC has added 2.2% to Rs 573.

 

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) and Reliance Communications (RCom) have advanced over 2% each to Rs 232 and Rs 513, respectively.

NTPC and Satyam are up nearly 2% each at Rs 189 and Rs 376, respectively.

Out of 2,540 stocks traded so far, 1,416 have declined, 1,047 have advanced and 77 are unchanged.
