Sensex recovers partially, now down 476pts

The Sensex has recovered some of its losses and is now down 476 points at 10,311.

Grasim has tumbled 8% to Rs 1,728. Hero Honda, Tata Steel and ONGC have dropped 7% each to Rs 747, Rs 509 and Rs 1,097, respectively.

ITC has plunged nearly 7% to Rs 165. Cipla and Maruti are down 6% each at Rs 227 and Rs 720, respectively.

Out of 2,405 stocks traded so far, 2,158 have declined, 213 have advanced and 34 are unchanged.
