Sensex recovers partially; ONGC gains 4%

The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 14,941, and is now down 63 points at 15,054.

The NSE Nifty is down 11 points at 4,513.

ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have slipped over 2% each to Rs 694 and Rs 435, respectively.

SBI and Satyam have shed 1.7% each at Rs 1,498 and Rs 410, respectively.

Infosys, Grasim and BHEL have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 1,695, Rs 2,058 and Rs 1,747, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined nearly 1.5% each to Rs 185 and Rs 568, respectively.

DLF, HDFC Bank and ACC are down over 1% each to Rs 548, Rs 1,240 and Rs 632, respectively.

 

ONGC has surged 3.8% to Rs 1,062. Sterlite has gained 2.4% at Rs 629, and Tata Steel has added 1.6% to Rs 653.
