The Sensex has upped its gains in current trades as buying has steadily picked up in select old economy stocks. However, selling pressure is still existence in select pharma and tech pivotals. The Sensex is now up 30 points at 6,543. The Nifty is up four points at 2,067. Reliance has moved up a per cent (Rs 5) to Rs 522. While ITC is trading with a steady gain of Rs 6 at Rs 1,315, HLL is trading marginally higher at Rs 145. HPCL has added 2.28% (Rs 9) to Rs 396. ONGC has eased further on selling pressure, and has declined 1.84% (Rs 16) to Rs 832. Bharti has moved up 2% (Rs 4) to Rs 213. While Hindalco has added Rs 11 to Rs 1,332, BHEL is up a per cent (Rs 7) at Rs 743. Bajaj, after a weak opening, has clocked 1.58% gains (Rs 18) to Rs 1,148. While Hero Honda, too, is trading with a per cent gain (Rs 5) at Rs 554, Maruti is up Rs 3 at Rs 466. Tata Motors also is trading with gains at Rs 516 - up Rs 4. Infosys (down Rs 9 to Rs 2,048), Wipro (down Rs 2 to Rs 749) and Satyam (down a rupee to Rs 409) are trading with marginal losses. |
