Sensex see-saws in morning trades

The Sensex opened 24 points lower at 12,093, but soon rebounded and touched a high of 12,180. The index, however, could not hold gains and slipped back into red to a low of 12,064 - down 116 points from the day's hgih in the first half-hour of trades this morning.

The index rebounded into the positive zone, but is now down again seven points at 12,110.

Jaiprkash Associates has surged 3.5% to Rs 143. ONGC has moved up over 2% to Rs 910.

Sun Pharma and ACC have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 1,310 and Rs 634, respectively.

NTPC, TCS and Larsen & Toubro have advanced over 1% each to Rs 194, Rs 640 and Rs 999, respectively.

 

Sterlite and HDFC Bank have plunged over 4% each to Rs 495 and Rs 1,128, respectively.

Wipro and Hindalco have dropped around 2% each to Rs 372 and Rs 69, respectively.
