Sensex sheds 119pts; TCS, Infosys slip

The Sensex is now down 119 points at 13,040.

Larsen & Toubro has shed 4% to Rs 1,478. ITC and HDFC Bank have plunged 3% each to Rs 167 and Rs 951, respectively.

TCS has dropped 2.4% to Rs 1,226. Wipro and SBI have shed 2% each to Rs 578 and Rs 1,033, respectively.

BHEL, Infosys, Reliance Communications and Reliance are down around 1.7% each at Rs 2,134, Rs 2,116, Rs 421 and Rs 1,345, respectively.

Hero Honda have rallied nearly 4% to Rs 693. HDFC has surged 3.3% to Rs 1,557, and Bajaj Auto has advanced nearly 3% to Rs 2,585.

HLL and Ranbaxy have gained 2% each at Rs 180 and Rs 350, respectively. Hindalco has moved up 1.4% to Rs 139.

Out of 2,570 stocks traded so far, 1,270 have advanced, 1,239 have declined and 61 are unchanged.
