Sensex sheds 185pts; Dr.Reddy's, Tata Mot up

The Sensex is now down 185 points at 12,358.

Larsen & Toubro has shed 4.3% to Rs 1,430, and Reliance Communications has tumbled 3.7% to Rs 376.

Gujarat ambuja has dropped nearly 3% to Rs 103. BHEL, Maruti, HDFC Bank and Infosys have slipped over 2% each to Rs 1,960, Rs 780, Rs 898 and Rs 2,036, respectively.

Cipla, Hero Honda and Bharti Airtel have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 223, Rs 656 and Rs 715, respectively.

Tata Motors and Dr.Reddy's moved up 1.4% each to Rs 736 and Rs 684, respectively.

Out of 2,493 stocks traded so far, 1,795 have declined, 632 have advanced and 66 are unchanged.
