Sensex sheds 303pts; Rel Comm drops 5%

The Sensex is now down 303 points at 14,236.

Hindalco has plunged over 11% to Rs 154. Reliance Communications has tumbled nearly 5% to Rs 452.

ICICI Bank, Reliance Energy and Larsen & Toubro have dropped around 4% each to Rs 950, Rs 534 and Rs 1,649, respectively.

Ranbaxy and NTPC have sliped around 3% each to Rs 404 and Rs 141, respectively.

ACC, BHEL and Grasim are down around 2.5% each to Rs 1,009, Rs 2,440 and Rs 2,758, respectively.

Out of 2,350 stocks traded so far, 2,069 have declined, 259 have advanced and 22 are unchanged.
