Sensex slips 108pts, ONGC drops 5%

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 108 points at 10,715.

ACC has surged 2.6% to Rs 771, and Cipla is up 2.4% at Rs 233.

NTPC, ICICI Bank, SBI, Dr.Reddy's and Satyam have advanced 1-2% each.

ONGC has plunged over 5% to Rs 1,173. HDFC Bank has dropped 4.4% to Rs 752, and Reliance Energy is down 4% at Rs 527.

Tata Power, too, has shed nearly 4% to Rs 529.

Reliance and HDFC have slipped 3.3% each to Rs 937 and Rs 1,200, respectively.

Maruti, Wipro, BHEL and Infosys are down over 2% each.

The market breadth is still fairly positive - out of 2,450 stocks traded so far, 1,333 have advanced, 1,063 have declined and 54 are unchanged.
