Sensex slips 122pts; Hindalco spurts 2%

The Sensex is now down 122 points at 13,956.

Reliance and Larsen & Toubro have shed 2% each to Rs 1,590 and Rs 1,707, respectively. HDFC has slipped 1.8% to Rs 1,650.

Satyam has dropped 1.3% to Rs 472. Bharti Airtel, Hero Honda and ICICI Bank are down 1% each at Rs 825, Rs 697 and Rs 864, respectively.

Cipla has surged 2.5% to Rs 217. Hindalco has gained 2% at Rs 149.

SBI has moved up 1.5% to Rs 1,140. ONGC, ACC and Dr.Reddy's are up 1% each at Rs 930, Rs 860 and Rs 724, respectively.

Out of 2,616 stocks traded so far, 1,451 have declined, 1,082 have advanced and 83 are unchanged.
