Sensex slips 136pts; REL stands firm

The Sensex is now down 136 points at 13,836.

Tata Motors, Satyam, ONGC and HLL have dropped 2.5% each to Rs 869, Rs 455, Rs 840 and Rs 235, respectively.

Reliance has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,273. Wipro has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 574.

Bajaj Auto and Hindalco have shed 1.5% each to Rs 2,664 and Rs 181, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, TCS, ACC, ITC, Maruti, Infosys and Reliance Communications are the other major losers.

Reliance Energy (REL) has gained 2.5% at Rs 556. SBI has advanced 1.3% to Rs 1,363, and Gujarat Ambuja is up 1% at Rs 142.

Out of 2,607 stocks traded so far, 1,470 have declined, 1,052 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
