Sensex slips 182pts; 80% BSE stocks in red

The Sensex is now down 182 points at 13,247.

Tata Steel, ACC, ICICI Bank and ITC have shed 3% each to Rs 462, Rs 1,065, Rs 849 and Rs 177, respectively.

NTPC, Dr.Reddy's, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Communications, HDFC Bank and Maruti have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 136, Rs 717, Rs 1,321, Rs 390, Rs 1,099 and Rs 868, respectively.

Hero Honda has advanced over 1% to Rs 702.

80% of stocks traded so far on the BSE are in negative zone - out of 2,109 stocks traded, 1,629 have declined, 444 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
