The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 198 points at 13,797.
Ranbaxy has slumped over 8% to Rs 319.
DLF has plunged 5.5% to Rs 397. Satyam and Jaiprakash Associates have tumbled around 4.5% each to Rs 336 and Rs 124, respectively.
Wipro has shed 4% at Rs 398. SBI, Tata Motors and ICICI Bank have dropped around 3% each to Rs 1,519, Rs 403 and Rs 617, respectively.
HDFC and Hindalco have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 2,268 and Rs 107, respectively.
Infosys, Bharti Airtel, BHEL and Tata Steel are down around 2% each.
Sterlite has surged over 2% to Rs 470. Reliance has added 1.3% to Rs 2,064.
The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,333 stocks traded so far, 1,531 have declined and 717 have advanced.
