Sensex slips 90pts; Infosys sheds 4%

The Sensex is now down 90 points to 14,920.

Infosys has plunged over 4% to Rs 1,937. TCS has shed 3.6% to Rs 1,144, and Satyam has dropped 3.3% to Rs 481. Wipro has slipped 1.6% to Rs 512.

Maruti has declined nearly 2% to Rs 797. Ambuja Cements and Tata Motors are down 1.7% each to Rs 128 and Rs 732, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Ranbaxy and ICICI Bank are the other prominent losers.

ACC has soared 3% to Rs 1,068. Reliance Energy has surged over 2% to Rs 626.

Hindustan Unilever, Grasim and Tata Steel have rallied 1.8% each to Rs 202, Rs 2,775 and Rs 645, respectively.

Out of 2,630 stocks traded so far, 1,373 have advanced, 1,187 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
