Sensex slips again, down 171pts

The Sensex has slipped back to lower levels and is now down 171 points at 13,850.

ICICI Bank has shed 3.6% to Rs 914. ITC and Ranbaxy have slipped 3% each to Rs 169 and Rs 357, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, Wipro and Ranbaxy have dropped 2.7% each to Rs 780, Rs 636 and Rs 692, respectively.

Grasim and Cipla have plunged 2.5% each to Rs 2,355 and Rs 243, respectively.

Reliance and Tata Steel are up over 1% each at Rs 1,429 and Rs 462, respectively.

Out of 2,466 stocks traded so far, 1,947 have declined, 474 have advanced and 45 are unchanged.
