Sensex slips again, down 243pts; ITC sheds 4%

The Sensex has slipped back to lower levels and is now down 243 points 13,276.

Ranbaxy and ICICI Bank have slumped 7% each to Rs 378 and Rs 550, respectively.

Sterlite has plunged 5.8% to Rs 450. ITC has tumbled over 4% to Rs 186.

HDFC Bank has dropped 3.7% to Rs 1,185. SBI and Reliance Communications have slipped 3% each to Rs 1,538 and Rs 356, respectively.

TCS and Reliance have declined 2.3% each to Rs 731 and Rs 1,883, respectively. Reliance Infrastructure is down over 1% at Rs 826.

Tata Motors has rallied over 3% to Rs 411. ONGC and Infosys have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 978 and Rs 1,602, respectively.

 

Out of 2,531 stocks traded so far, 1,335 have declined, 1,101 have advanced and 95 are unchanged.
