Sensex slips again; Tata Steel drops 6%

The Sensex has slipped back into the negative zone and is now down 53 points at 10,926.

Tata Steel has slumped 6% to Rs 247. Tata Motors and ICICI Bank have plunged over 5% each to Rs 233 and Rs 404, respectively.

Maruti has tumbled over 4% to Rs 799. Reliance Infrastructure and Sterlite have slipped around 3% each to Rs 674 and Rs 388, respectively.

SBI has dropped 2.7% to Rs 1,261. Mahindra & Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro have declined 2.3% each to Rs 439 and Rs 864, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has surged 4.5% to Rs 720. ITC has rallied 3% to Rs 190.

 

DLF has moved up 2.7% to Rs 237. Sun Pharma and Hindalco have gained 2.3% each at Rs 1,210 and Rs 55, respectively.

Wipro and Tata Power are up nearly 2% each at Rs 279 and Rs 875, respectively.

The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,536 stocks traded so far, 1,284 have declined, 1,155 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
