Sensex slips deeper into red, down 186pts

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 186 points at 20,031.

Wipro has plunged 3.5% to Rs 530. Bharti Airtel has shed 2.6% at Rs 941.

HDFC Bank and Bajaj Auto have slipped over 2% each to Rs 1,708 and Rs 2,618, respectively.

ONGC and TCS have also dropped 2% each to Rs 1,216 and Rs 1,078, respectively.

ICICI Bank has declined 1.5% to Rs 1,222, and Tata Motors is down 1.3% at Rs 727.

Satyam, Maruti and Infosys are down 1% each at Rs 446, Rs 984 and Rs 1,787, respectively.

DLF has gained 1.7% at Rs 1,027.

Ambuja Cements has advanced 1.5% to Rs 147, and Ranbaxy has added 1.3% to Rs 417.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Steel are up 1% each at Rs 837 and Rs 916, respectively.

Out of 2,933 stocks traded so far, 2,061 have advanced, 837 have declined and 35 are unchanged.
