Sensex slips deeper into red, down 675pts

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 675 points at 15,867.

The NSE Nifty is down 192 points at 4,729.

Reliance Energy has slumped 10.3% to Rs 1,310. Bajaj Auto has tumbled 8.5% to Rs 1,947.

ICICI Bank has shed 7.5% to Rs 888, and Maruti has dropped 6.7% to Rs 877.

Hindalco has slipped 6.3% to Rs 195. Tata Motors, Ranbaxy and NTPC have declined 5.7% each to Rs 662, Rs 427 and Rs 184, respectively.

DLF is down nearly 5% at Rs 648. Mahindra & Mahindra and BHEL are down 4.5% each at Rs 665 and Rs 1,988, respectively.
