Sensex slips, down 19pts; ICICI up 4%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 19 points at 19,718.

Cipla has zoomed over 5% to Rs 199. ICICI Bank has soared 3.7% to Rs 1,205.

HDFC and Reliance Energy have surged 3% each to Rs 2,825 and Rs 1,944, respectively.

Infosys has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 1,634. DLF, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bharti Airtel have gained 1.7% each at Rs 971, Rs 787 and Rs 934, respectively.

Maruti and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each at Rs 1,044 and Rs 397, respectively.

Grasim has shed 3% at Rs 3,682, and Bajaj Auto has dropped 2.5% to Rs 2,730.

HDFC Bank and Hindalco have slipped 2% each to Rs 1,693 and Rs 195, respectively.

Tata Steel has declined 1.8% to Rs 850.

Out of 2,879 stocks traded so far, 1,827 have advanced, 1,003 have declined and 49 are unchanged.
