The Sensex after opening on a flat note at 17,230, has now slipped into the negative zone to a low of 17,187. The index is now hovering near its lowest point.
The NSE Nifty is at 5,098, down 15 points.
BHEL, Tata Power and Grasim Industries are down over 1% each.
Jaiprakash Associates has added 1.5% to Rs 269. Hindalco, Infosys and Wipro are up 1% each.
