Sensex slips into negative, down 15pts

The BSE Sensex has slipped into negative again and now is at 15,362, down 16 points. The NSE Nifty is now flat at 4,568.

The Sensex has rebounded into positive after a brief slippage and is now at 15,390, up 12 points.

DLF has soared nearly 5% to Rs 412. Hindustan Unilever and Tata Power have surged over 4% each to Rs 294 and 1,220, respectively.

Reliance Communications has gained over 2% to Rs 282.

Tata Steel, BHEL and Bharti Airtel have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 448, Rs 2,243 and Rs 423, respectively.

Reliance has declined 4.5% to Rs 1,923.

Hero Honda and Tata Motors have shed over 2% each.

The NSE Nifty is now at 4,571, up three points. Other prominent gainers in Nifty are HCL Technologies, which is up 4.5% to Rs 244.

 

Axis Bank and Jindal Steel have advanced 3% and 2.5%, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,447 stocks, 1,504 have advanced and 855 have declined.
